Fintech Firma’s Founder story

I began my career seeking a path that truly inspired me. While my roles in telecommunications as a Business Systems Analyst and Product Manager provided valuable experience, I found my passion when I joined Tim Hortons, aiming to help the organization compete with industry leaders like Starbucks. It was there that I discovered the transformative potential of payments as a critical enabler of business success, even in selling coffee and doughnuts. We were the first North American Quick Service Restaurant to launch NFC payments and get closer to Starbucks’ digital payment and loyalty excellence bechmark.

At Tim Hortons, I worked at the forefront of payments innovation, contributing to the rise of mobile wallets, digital card payments, and loyalty programs, which solidified my passion for the field. I carried this enthusiasm to RBC’s Solution Acceleration and Innovation, under great leader Eddy Ortiz, where I gained deeper insights into digital banking, integration, financial services, and innovation. At RBC Ventures, I was part of the pioneering team behind MyDoh, empowering parents and kids with financial tools for the future.

Venturing into consulting, I was part of the Payments Canada’s team that designed the Real-Time Rail, recognizing the immense opportunities for payments innovation and modernization in Canada. My work with Payments Canada, particularly on the Payments Modernization initiative, broadened my perspective on B2B and account-to-account payments, showcasing their complexity and versatility across industries.

Building on this success, I founded Fintech Firma to assemble a team of like-minded, passionate professionals. Today, Fintech Firma has delivered innovative fintech solutions across North America and the MENA region, helping businesses thrive in an ever-evolving financial landscape. My journey has been one of discovery, purpose, and dedication to shaping the future of payments and fintech.
